Don't let rust form on any moving parts!

Health and Fitness has been my life long pursuit - one that I have dedicated my professional and personal life to. As I find myself growing older, the importance of good health, fitness and general wellness are clearer to me than ever before. As a youthful 59 year old health and fitness professional, competitive athlete (Triathlete / Cyclist) and former professional athlete (Martial Arts), it’s apparent to me that age (for the most part) is really just a meaningless number and way too often is used as a lame excuse! I refuse to believe that age should influence or put any limitation on being fit, active, healthy (both mind and body), injury free and enjoying the best quality of life possible.

I refuse to slow down and grow old just because the clock is ticking. In recent years, I have devoted a lot of time in deep thought, reflection and personal research and have come to the conclusion that there is really no reason to grow "old" (especially prematurely). There is no reason to watch the quality of your life decline year after year. Sadly, for most people, traveling down this path of decline starts in their mid 30's and speeds up in their 40's and 50's. Age, personal and business obligations, busy schedules, etc. too often become weak excuses for not making the commitment to themselves to reach their fitness (and health) potential. People use these excuses to justify their inconsistent exercise habits, poor diets, laziness and lack of motivation. Regrettably, as a direct result, they are overweight, de-conditioned, in many cases unhappy and face a future of poor health and illness relying on handfuls of medication to stay alive. This is no way to live. I know I would much rather sweat in the gym now, than sweat in the doctor's office later.

My question to these people is, "Why not do everything in your power to greatly decrease your odds of cancer, diabetes and other illnesses, and increase your odds of living a long, active and healthy life?" You owe it to yourself and your loved ones!

Intelligent and well designed customized exercise programs, proper nutrition and maintaining a youthful spirit are all the key components you need to turn back the hands of time and live a long, healthy, injury free and active life. It's never too late to commit and change your life. Good health and a high level of fitness is a choice you can make today. But it's a choice you have to make, nobody can do it for you. I am aware I can’t save everyone, but I can give everything I have to the one’s that accept my helping hand. I'm holding a life preserver, all you have to do is reach out and grab it and we can reach your goals and change your life together. There's no reason to do it blindly, waste valuable time and money, or get frustrated and give up.

While most trainers focus on “getting ripped” and obsess over six-pack abs (which really is by-product of putting in the hard work and happens naturally when the exercise and diet components are working in balance), my "fitness methodology" puts more focus on getting healthy, getting fit, staying well and thriving. As a direct result, my clients are living more active, injury-free, healthier, happier, more productive lives. My clients are reaching their fitness potential, having fun, learning how to live a healthier lifestyle, achieving optimum health and enjoying higher levels of performance in life and sport.

"Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years. We grow old by deserting our youth and not respecting our bodies! Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm for life and taking our health for granted wrinkles the soul." Markus B.
