Surround yourself with reminders of the reasons you have chosen to do the work you do.
Keep the thoughts of those reasons foremost in your mind.

Achievement never happens for its own sake.
Achievement is built when there are solid, meaningful reasons behind it.

The only enduring impediment to success is the lack of a reason for that success.
Connect with a good reason, keep that connection strong,
and you will find your way through whatever challenges you encounter.

When you have a reason, you have a stake in the outcome.
When you have a reason, you're able to summon the discipline, commitment,
persistence and creativity necessary to get the job done.

The best motivation is not to be found in some sophisticated secret technique or procedure.
The best motivation is to constantly keep yourself in contact with your reasons.

Give yourself plenty of reasons to succeed.

And you most assuredly will.

Age is really just a meaningless number!

With my background as an accomplished martial artist and having been a high level competitive athlete for most of my life,
I have always been extremely aware of the importance of good health through exercise and a balanced diet.
As a direct result of martial arts and other training, I became conscious of the power of the “mind-body connection”
and quickly incorporated it into all of my training and competitions.

When I retired from professional competition and started focusing more of my attention on personal training,
I found that my past experiences greatly enhanced my skills as a personal trainer.
As I grew older, the importance of health, fitness and wellness became clearer to me than ever before.
Now, at the very youthful age of 52, it’s become increasingly apparent to me that “age is really just a meaningless number”
and I refuse to believe that age should put any limitations on being fit and enjoying the best quality of life possible.

For most people age, obligations, busy work schedules, etc. become weak excuses for not making the commitment to themselves
to find the time and put in the time to reach their fitness potential.
Instead, they use these various excuses to justify their poor fitness practice, poor diets, laziness and lack of motivation.
Unfortunately, as a direct result they are over weight, seriously out of shape and in many cases unhappy,
whether they choose to be honest with themselves and realize it or not.
The scary part is, their quality of life is suffering greatly and they are heading down the proven path toward serious illnesses
such as cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure and diabetes, just to name a few.
Fortunately, it’s never too late to start your down the path of good health and fitness.
The choice is yours, sweat now or spend endless hours at the doctor’s office later.

Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh, it’s just that I am very passionate about what I do and believe so strongly in this message.
It’s so sad to me when I read endless reports on childhood and adult obesity in our nation
and when I see people half my age so physically un-fit.
I’m not saying every one has to look like a model or pro athlete;
what I’m saying is that people should take control over the things that they can control in life
and do all that they can to improve their quality of life by improving their fitness level.

As I always say, Good health is the greatest gift we are given in life!
One we should always remain mindful of, be eternally grateful for and never take for granted.
